Concox trackers(www.iconcox.com) have a simple configuration, with state-of-the-art Technology, Concox Trackers can be configured basically using the sending of three SMS.
To send commands to the tracker you must have a telemetry chip or Prepaid, to send and receive SMS that will indicate the evolution of the configuration. After inserting the chip into the tracker, make sure it is turned on and the green and blue lights are steady, this will indicate that your tracker is ready to receive and transmit information to your platform.
After preparing the Tracker, simply send the configuration messages from another mobile phone following the example below:
1 – SMS SERVER CONFIGURATION:
To send the first SMS just know what is the IP / URL and Port of the platform you use. Each platform has a format, so just ask the person who serves you that they will forward the IP and PORT information.
Ex: SERVER, 1, xxx.xxx.com, 8011.0 #
SERVER, 0.211.154.135.113,8011.0 #
mode = 1 means domain with URL (name)
mode = 0 Means domain with IP (number)
protocol = 0 means to connect server with TCP protocol
protocol = 1 means connect server with UDP protocol
Remarks:
After sending any SMS wait for the reply (OK) to continue sending the other SMS.
Send SMS with the word SERVER # to check the server status. The reply from this SMS will bring up the information you previously sent.
2 – SMS APN CONFIGURATION:
Concox trackers come from the factory with automatic APN, but you can change according to the telemetry chip you will use on your trackers. See the example below:
APN, [nomeapn] #
or
APN, [nomeapn], [login], [password] #
For automatic APN use SMS below:
ON: APN auto active; Ex & gt; ASETAPN, ON #
OFF: APN auto-off. Ex & gt; ASETAPN, OFF #
Send SMS with word APN # to check APN status. The reply from this SMS will bring up the information you previously sent.
Remarks:
After sending any SMS wait for the reply (OK) to continue sending the other SMS;
3 – GPS position send time interval with the ignition on or off:
This information is very important so that the Concox tracker can communicate with the platform at the right time and not consume an unnecessary data packet from your chip. This communication is established in two formats: communication with the ignition on and communication with ignition off, see example below
Ex: SMS – TIMER, 60,3600 # communicates 1 in 1 min with the ignition on and 1 and 1 hour with ignition off.
Send SMS with the word TIMER # to check the communication time with the ignition on / off. The reply from this SMS will bring up the information you previously sent.
Remarks:
After sending any SMS wait for the reply (OK) to continue sending the other SMS;
After sending all the configuration SMS correctly just wait for the tracker to communicate on your platform, this time takes about 1 to 5 minutes.
Concox trackers have about 50 SMS types, which can be sent to change, check or report tracker communication. Check out the full list through the link below or contact one of our consultants.
