To use it, you need to click on the “Screen capture” tile, and a bottom-bar menu will open on your screen. You need to press the video icon, and you will be switched over to screen recording. You can further choose the type of recording you want, like the full-screen view, active window, or the partial screen. Your Chromebook will further start recording on pressing the “Record” button. If you want to stop the recording, you will have to click on the stop icon appearing on the taskbar. Your recording will be saved in a well-optimized WEBM format. There’s a lack of one feature, though. There’s a lack of support for the microphone. It would have been a great option for the people needing to create a video with a background voiceover. This newly introduced tool alongside screen recording also brings an intuitive way to capture screenshots on your Chromebook. To capture the screen, you need to simply press the “Ctrl + Shift + Overview button.” Your device will move on to a new screen capture mode.
