I have been flooded with coronavirus updates via social media, social media groups and friends. Aside from the very crafty Memes, I had to put that on mute because the information was either the paranoia from the mainstream media, The conspiracy theories from alternative media (like this is part of population control agenda by Bill Gates and the other global elite, that is real miraculously have a vaccine yet they have enforced quarantine) and just stupid shit from social media. All of it was getting on nerves. The coronavirus is bad, but it is not influenza bad. The only pandemic is what the media has created. Those at risk are those with weaken immune systems and the elderly. It’s not may not be a bad idea to do social distant distancing, boost your immune system and of course practice preventative hygiene measures, but it does not mean to stop living your life. The US in Europe (whether in conspiracy theory the governments wanted the coronavirus to spread or they are just that incompetent or both) have dropped the ball in handling this. While South Korea has done well, the country that who’s really handled the coronavirus well is Taiwan. Despite being next store to China, their deaths are extremely low. Taiwan upon hearing about the coronavirus took immediate action - and this is mainly due to their historical distrust of China. But note that China did try to keep coronavirus a secret for a month (& also the conspiracy theory that the USA created the virus and brought it to China is Chinese propaganda). I think during that month China kept the coronavirus under wraps is how it’s spread because countries (like Italy and Iran) were still doing business with China via having flights going in and out of there. Taiwan, upon immediately hearing of an outbreak, called their diplomats back to Taiwan. And on Italy, like Bulgaria, Italy has an older population as many young people feel there’s no opportunity there and have left for other countries. So, its elderly population is at high risk for the coronavirus. and suffering for it. My company has authorized work from home until further notice. Gyms are closed. Nightlife venues are closed. Restaurants are takeout only. Hardly anybody’s going out, but People continue to buy up the toilet paper and I’ve seen more gas masks. It feels like semi-quarantine by force, but with Americans trusting the mainstream media as authority, I believe would have self imposed their own quarantine. And there is other news going on that’s not being reported by mainstream media, war strikes in Iraq and oils issue, but the masses aren’t paying attention to any of that. The stock markets has been a downward spiral, including cryptocurrency, but why not look at it as an opportunity to buy? We’ve had these virus panics before and if they did affect the financial markets, once it was over, they rebounded. Although things do look bleak, I don’t think it’s going to last months and years as the mainstream media hopes (perhaps in hopes of making Trump look bad?) - as even China is reporting good news. However, I think we need to psychologically prepare ourselves for this sheltering down to go on for a while, but please don’t stock up on toilet paper. That is not proper prepping.
